Navigating the Emotional Weather

Admit it. These are stressful times. Mother Nature has been extremely active lately, with the fires in Australia and other places, tornados, and various other natural disasters. We have killer viruses, political unrest and a shaky economy. For me personally, two weeks in February were spent on the couch or in bed with a flu virus that just wouldn't go away. My body had a strange reaction to the meds and I found myself in a very dark altered state of consciousness. Many of my clients and students are reporting conflicting and unusual emotional episodes. What is going on?

As sensitive beings who are very succeptible to feeling the emotions not only of ourselves, but others around us, it has become increasingly apparent to me that the emotional turbulence is an energetic response to the crazy and disturbing happenings throughout the world. Many times we look at our lives and think, why am I sad? Why am I angry? but forget to take into account all of the heightened emotions flying about in the atmosphere. It is time to realize that we are all connected. We are all one. We are experiencing the illusion of separation, but every time a mile of rain forest is eliminated, our emotions are affected. When a mother cries over the hunger in her child's eyes, we feel the pain. Most of the time we probably don't realize where the pain is coming from.

We are not tasked with carrying the weight of the world on our shoulders. If we are aware of our soul's plan, we know that part of why we are here is to bring healing to the broken hearted, freedom to those captivated by the illusion of limitation, and comfort to those who are mourning. But how do we do that? How do we differenciate between our own pain and that which may originate on the other side of the world?

Sometimes all that is necessary is recognizing that there is more to being human and living on planet Earth than our own little version of reality. We can be a force of Divine Light and Divine Love in a world plagued by wars, hatred, and sadness. There is so much more to the Law of Attraction than manifesting a new car or a new job or a love relationship. As we focus on being a force of Light in this world, we shine that Light into the darkness. We become a channel for the Benevolence of the Universe to shift patterns of imbalance to peace and tranquility.

We have been focusing our attention on manifesting parking spaces at Walmart rather than sending that focus to larger projects. Take a moment or two sending high frequency beams of Divine Love to death row, to the division in our nation's capital, and yes, even to the Taliban. If one really big beam of Divine Love hits one person living in the illusion of death and destruction, and that one person decides that they don't want to go on a killing spree, how many lives have you saved? No one will probably ever know what you did. You will never get any credit for it. You may not even know what you did. But Divine Love knows. And the next time you go to Walmart, you just might find a great parking spot just as a thank you from the Universe.

Starting today, why not take sixty seconds to send a beam of Divine Love out into a part of the world ravaged by wars, or fires, or hunger? Don't do it in the sense that you consider that they are lacking in any way. When you see someone as a victim or a perpetrator you are just adding to the energy of imbalance. Do it with the attitude that you are contributing to their well being. You are reminding them of their divinity.

You are Divine. You are a force of Light in the world.
